Mech E. Frazier is a Geospatial and Cartographic Specialist at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Trained in interdisciplinary social sciences, she studied anthropology and biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before continuing her studies at Arizona State University in anthropology. While at ASU, she used GIS to examine connections between prehistoric Mexico and the Southwest United States. She has completed GIS-oriented field work in Wisconsin, Illinois, Costa Rica, Belize, and Mexico. Her research interests include spatial statistics, remote sensing, and using open-source alternatives.
